Casa Michara is located in the centre of Praiano in a lovely, ancient building dated 1600, right in the middle of the village hub. Here guests are within close proximity to the main bus stop, many of Praiano's restaurants and bars and the Church and the stunning square of San Gennaro. The beach of La Gavitella is only a 15 minute walk down the characteristic stone pathway, it's about 350 steps.
The property features everything a traveler away from home could desire. Internet Wi-Fi throughout, SKY-TV with English speaking channels, air conditioning and heating, a prime location for panoramic, breathtaking sea views from the terrace and the gardens. Centrally located in Praiano village life, Casa Michara is tastefully decorated with typical colorful Vietri and terracotta tile. Inspired by the aristocratic Neapolitan style circa 1800, the home has beautiful, high vaulted ceilings.
Casa Michara can accommodate six people comfortably in its' three bedrooms. The property features three full bathrooms, a large kitchen equipped with modern appliances, cutlery and tableware and a dining table and six chairs. The living room is furnished with a sofa (this is not a bed), two armchairs, a flat screen TV with Sky International channels in a variety of languages. What makes this property special is its pretty garden with bougainvillea set against the shimmering sea where guests can use the grill to barbecue and dine at the colorful ceramic table and six chairs. A splendid place for "al fresco" dining on warm summer nights, or for starting your day with a cappuccino and finishing with an icy limoncello served under the stars.

How to reach the property
Casa Michara is located along via Capriglione at the number 61/b, opposite restaurant Che Bontà, very close to bus stop nr 7, village centre.
Beforehand you must have filled and complete all fields of the on-line check-in available in most of our pages and HERE, as guests must be registered at local Authorities, at the check-in time.
Your closest bus stop is number 7, located in the village centre, along via Capriglione, at only 30 meters from your front door, for either main Sitasud line, local Mobility Positano-Praiano and Interno Praiano Tasso buses.

We remind you the council visitors' tax that is is Euro 2.5 per person, per night and for maximum 7 nights.

Garbage system
We do recycle the waste in the village of Praiano. Please use the PDF contaned in the link to determine the night of the rubbish/garbage collection that takes place in early morning, before 7am. Do not leave any rubbish outside the property before 10 pm and never during the day.
The collection area for Michara is just outside the main door, on the right of the top one stair of the marble balck ramp; click to see a picture of our dumping area. The garbage bags can be only places there at night, after 10pm!
If you have little leftover there is a small rubbish bin next to Bar 94, at the bus stop nr 7. Please do not leave the garbage inside the house at departure as we are unable to sort it during the morning when we will refresh the house!

Charging station or petrol
Praiano has a few stations to charge electric vehicles.
If you have one, please reach one of the following stations, located in:
- via Antico Seggio (intersection with via Costantinopoli)
- Via Umberto I, by the Municipio
- Via Umberto I, by bus stop nr 9
- Via Umberto I, by Hotel Margherita
If you have a regular gasoline car, you must reach the village of Conca Dei Marini Q8 station or Positano Parcheggio Mandara, in the village centre, along viale Pasitea.
Features and Wifi
The apartment wifi password is : BARBARA2020 (all capital letters) . No password is needed in the living room area only.
Guests will have on ground floor a TV in living room with Sat SKY-TV channels (HERE how its remote control works) a large kitchen with dishwasher, oven, freezer fridge, microwave, Nespresso capsules coffee machine. Cutlery, plates and glasses. All sort of cooking pans!
We might offer a private parking for a medium sized car, for a fee, at 150 meters away. Please inquiry. In the high season (July and August), car service or public transportation, must be the preffered method to reach the town. Vehicles can be parked along the main road in between bus stop 2 and 4, free of charge. Paying lots are just outside the village past the bus stop nr 8, directions Amalfi in the blue lines.

Troubleshooting
We generally did not experience too many issue in this home

One main issue is that often guests accidentally switch off the kitchen counter thick switches located on the marble counter, in the corner above the dishwasher or on the left hand side of the gas stove.
If those switches are on the 0 position, the appliance electricity is cut and those will be put on OFF mode and will not be powered and obviously will not work (it can be affecting the oven, the stove or the dishwasher)
Important notice :
I wanted to share some important information about the dehumidifier in the rear room and why it's essential to keep it switched on. Our homes are built on the rocks, which is typical for this area, but this also means that humidity can be a common issue.
The dehumidifier plays a crucial role in managing the humidity levels in the bathroom and the house. By removing excess moisture from the air, it helps to:

For these reasons, it's important to keep the dehumidifier switched on in the bathroom. It’s a small action that makes a significant difference.
When you notice the dehumidifier's tank is full or if the dehumidifier is in pause mode, please empty the tank and reinstall it. This will ensure that the dehumidifier continues to operate efficiently.
